The great thing about Ibiza is that there is so much variety in the resorts there, and where you go largely depends on what you are looking to get out of your holiday. For example if you are looking for clubbing then Ibiza town is really the place to be, although the downside is it has no beach. Luckily with the size of the island being quite small you will always be close enough to a beach. When looking for the location of your villas in Ibiza it’s important to take into account what you would like from the holiday so that you won’t be disappointed. Here is a brief overview of some of the different town’s and resorts.
Talamanca – Great for those of you looking for a beach holiday, it has a wonderful bay and is also very close to Ibiza town. It is a generally quiet place compared to Ibiza town so may be good for family holidays.
Figueretas - in general this is a great resort for everyone. It has plenty of bars and restaurants and is suitable for all tastes.
San Antonio - this is the second largest resort behind Ibiza town and has a great night life but again offers something for all tastes.
Es cana - this is a family resort with a fantastic beach and the world renowned hippie market. It may not be suitable for those looking for clubbing but for family’s looking for a fantastic family holiday with something for everyone it is a great choice.
There are plenty more resorts all around the island each offering something different. Whether you are looking for clubbing, sunbathing, watersports or just general relaxing there is always a resort for you. However some resorts are more suitable for families than others so make sure you do a bit of research before getting a perfect villa in Ibiza for your family. It is also worth remembering that Ibiza is a small island and therefore no matter where you are it is always possible to go and visit a different part of the island. Whether you hire a car or catch a bus or even get a taxi you should not feel that you are trapped in the resort you choose for your villa. It may cost a bit of money to see the island but it is well worth it as it is a beautiful place.

Family holidays in Ibiza



As we have mentioned in a previous article Ibiza is not just for young people going clubbing it is also great for family holidays. You don’t want to just lays on the beach all day though as there is so much to do on the island. Even though it may be tempting to just lay back in the warm weather on the beautiful beaches for the entire seven days of your holiday you may have even more fun by going out and sampling what Ibiza has to offer.

Even if you have young children there are still plenty of options for a day out. The first are the mini train rides that can take you across the countryside Ibiza. You will see the amazing countryside of the island as well as possibly seeing some wildlife. There are also plenty of play parks all around the island that are great for young children and in general very safe although your kids should always be supervised on them. Once you’ve exhausted all other options your kids will be happy to go back to the beach just make sure that there wear adequate sunblock.
If you have older children there is even more options for what to do. If they have an adventurous side they may want to sample many of the various watersports such as windsurfing and parasailing which are available on many of the beaches around the island. There is also a very popular waterpark that has plenty of slides and pools to play in for kids of all ages.

Not only that but there are other attractions go-karts, all in and boat trips that the whole family will enjoy. Once you have exhausted all these options you might want to try the wide variety of shopping on the island such as the hippie markets and the old Ibiza town.
In summary you will find that Ibiza is a wonderful location for your holiday no matter what the age of your kids. If you have grown up kids they may be old enough to sample the nightlife in the area and there is plenty for my dad to do too.
