I am sure there are those of you who have camped out before, or those of you who dream of camping out. There are people, who just have lodgings in hotels and trailers, but if you really want to feel the great outdoors, camping is very cheap; you can stay for a very long time on a site for almost nothing. All you need is a good 3 person tent and a campsite. Here are some tips for picking out a good campsite:
1. Choose a place that is quiet and has a lot of shade. Aside from the thin material of your lightweight tent there is nothing that will protect you from the noise of other campers or the animals. A camping site with a lot of shade will also help because sometimes the camp site might get hot.
2. A good source of water will prove to be very useful. A river or streams are good sources of water, which you can use as boiling water, drinking water or bath water.
3. When you have chosen your site you need to mark it. To be sure that other campers do not venture into your area, mark all of your utilities with the space number. When marking your utilities use professional signages, because spray paint on plywood is not good enough.
4. Try to find a camp site with a decent picnic table and metal fire pit. The picnic table will probably the area where most of your time will be spent in your camp site. People say that one of the most enjoyable parts of camping is sitting around and eating around an open fire, which is why a good fire pit helps. A good metal fire pit will make it safer for people to cook food on the fire pit.
5. Unless there is a store where you can buy firewood, I recommend that you bring your own firewood or bring tools to cut your own. If you do not want to cut firewood, the branches of dead trees will do just fine for firewood.
In conclusion, if you have a lot of people with you then a camp site should be fairly cheap. Always inquire with the camp site a few days before hand if they have firewood in the camp site, and also inquire about water, food, price of the campsite and the area of the campsite.
