If you have a timeshare and you are thinking about selling timeshare consider these points before you make the decision to sell. I don’t believe that you should stay in a money draining situation and if that is what your time share has turned into then you should probably get out but if you are simply tired of dealing with the headache maybe you need to think about it differently.

The deed of your timeshare is willable. Giving something like a timeshare to a responsible family member can free you of a monthly or yearly burden, if that is what it is, and can be a great gift for another. Many who may not be able to afford the actual timeshare may appreciate the convenience of a time share and be able to take advantage of the long term savings.

If you are going to take 2 weeks of vacation per year you should run the numbers and see what is really more expensive. I know that it may seem like a timeshare is a large chunk of change but when you consider that many people routinely spend in excess of $10,000 per year on a vacation, much of which could be saved by owning a timeshare, the deal looks a little more attractive.

Timeshares are easy to use for those that are able to plan ahead. They are not for everyone and many find the long term planning a difficult aspect of timeshare ownership.

If you are not collecting reward points for something you are missing out. There are lots of ways to earn reward points for that can be applied towards extra weeks, plane flights, all inclusive deals, etc. You can get a credit card that pays you points at your vacation club every time you use the card. Many people overlook this important part of long term savings and end up loosing out.

Making memories is important. Your kids and grandkids will not be young forever and going on vacation is one of the best ways to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Buying a timeshare is often done on the spot and without much forethought but that does not mean that you should not think long and hard before you commit to selling timeshare.
